blue2.5gt
hey guys, i just bought spec b wheels for my 05 legacy gt, i used a slightly smaller tire (215/40r18) to account for the 1" bigger wheel and the pics below are the result. i am thinking it might look better if i get some lowering springs, i was wondering if you think that would help and if so what kind should i look into getting? http://i47.tinypic.com/i72x4l.jpg http://i45.tinypic.com/1xyoh2.jpg
robitrice
what are you looking for? big drop or performance?
blue2.5gt
well i have subs in the trunk right now which are already causing some drop in the rear, the main issue is the front, just want the wheels to be more flush with the wheel well. i was thinking about the tein h techs as they seem to provide the least amount of drop. how do those perform? and is it possible/sensible only to install them in the front and not the rear? dr_sharp
I think it is perfectly feasible to only do fronts. The rear Htechs aren't any stiffer than stock, just shorter. Originally I had planned to run htechs in rear and stechs in front but just didn't want to deal with being that low in front. lol
Drift Motion
215/45/18 is not smaller than stock...it's actually taller than stock
blue2.5gt
@drift motion oh sorry i meant that the tires i bought are 215/40 r 18, which are about .2 inches taller than stock overall diameter, they help account for the larger wheel.
