bigjweb
Sweet ride. Custom i'm assuming? Is that thing intercooled?
scoobyscoodle
I bet that thing could almost keep up with a specB. 800hp in a convertible would be a bit scary, at least that roll bar is there for some piece of mind. My neighbor has a '97 996 that he built, and that thing makes me forget my first name.
Mega Users paintpollz Posted May 21, 2012 Mega Users Share Posted May 21, 2012 damn. thats a crazy kit. still curious about the intercooler question. I know TPC makes non-intercooled turbo kits for boxters. They run a big turbo and low boost with good perforance it looks like. Mega Users paintpollz Posted May 21, 2012 Mega Users Share Posted May 21, 2012 are those brakes even big enough to stop that kind of powa? "Remember Danny - Two wrongs don't make a right but three rights make a left."
05GT Guru
are those brakes even big enough to stop that kind of powa? Depends what you consider a resonable stopping distance Every now and then I see a drag car at the track running 9s or 10s with brakes designed in 1969, they get the job done. whitetiger
it all depends on how light the car is, not how much powa it has.

Penguin
If it started life as a 996 Turbo it is intercooled. The intercoolers are crammed up front behind the air scoops on the rear fenders.

Bingo !!! I can't remember if they kept the stock intercoolers..... the stock turbos were replaced by two melon sized ones... Those brakes work just fine... The stock steering wheel with odd shift buttons was replaced with a chubby wheel and proper paddle shifters... Custom hubs push the 19 inch HRE wheels out a bit.... The stock tranny was beefed up to handle the power.... http://bbiautosport.tumblr.com/ http://www.motonsuspension.com/ A few more pics..
