1-3-2-4
As far as I know tomorrow, I'm dropping in a 98 forester 5MT back when I picked up my 97 OB it was missing 5th and making sounds in the tranny.. Long story short about a year and 28K miles later what seems to be the front bearing above the front diff must of fell apart and cracked the case which drained all the gear oil one morning going to get gas. I figured it got stuck between the diff and the case. So that was at 237K picked up a Forester transmission last Friday with 86K for $395 it's not hard to handle at all, I figure since it's been sitting for awhile I'm going to throw some cheap stuff in for maybe about 200 miles or so then throw some extra-S in. I can't wait to do the teardown on the old transmission.. curious to see if 5th gear was stripped of teeth or something else..
