jamesm113
Yes, you'll need to replace them, how else would exhaust get in the coolant?
Kennyfvholla
Agreed. The gaskets fail internally. The exhaust leaks through the chamber/bore seal and super heats the coolant and that's why you overheat.
I Donated broknindarkagain Posted May 15, 2012 I Donated Share Posted May 15, 2012 Head gaskets on your engine are a crappy design and start leaking after awhile. The EJ25D has the same kind of failure. Buy a set of 1.6 custom made steel head gaskets from Cometic. They will last you a life time. -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
