jackfortune
for fzxtreme....EDO recommended pinks matched to Bilstein HD's are the perfect setup for your car for street use....this is equivalent to the original JDM setup the LGT was designed for....our US version is a soft emulation of the original sports sedan.... CapnJack
Hi all, Im thinking about getting a new set of struts and springs and I think I have decided on HD's and STI pinks. Now I don't mean to thread jack but I would like some help choosing the right parts from people who most likely know more about this stuff than me I have a 07 2.5i auto and from my searches I have found on fredbeans the HD strut kit with spec b top hats http://www.fredbeansparts.com/bilstein-hd-strut-and-spec-b-top-hat-kit.html and the sti pinks on edo http://shop.edoperformance.com/sti-pink-springs-frontrear-legacy-p-9385.html I just want to know if this set up is correct for my car. Thanks all Yes, that is the correct setup and the one I'm purchasing also. I ordered my pinks about two weeks ago. They have a 6-8 week lead time on them since they have to be imported from Japan according to EDO.
BAC5.2
so the 06 specB has the Bilstein HD's? Anyclue as to the full model number? The OE Bilsteins are not the HD's. I disagree, but i have no idea what your definition of "good" coilovers are Tein Flex http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Tein-Flex-Coilovers-Subaru-Legacy-GT-2005-2009 Tein http://www.jscspeed.com/catalog/Subaru/05_09_Legacy_GT/Suspension/Tein_Coilovers_for_05_09_Subaru_Legacy_GT.html KW http://www.eurosportdesign.com/p-3935-subaru-legacy-gt-kw-variant-2-v2-coilovers.aspx Tein's are junk. ovr9000
Slight dead thread revival, but did anyone running the HD / pinks combo do the bump stop mod? This setup is in the mail right now for me and I'm curious if this is something that guys with this setup wish they had done. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/blistein-hd-bump-stop-mod-99244.html?highlight=bilstein

LegacyDan
HD's are fine up to a 30mm drop, any lower and you will kill your struts pretty quickly. I have jdm billies with STI pinks on mine, came like this when i bought it. You can get Bilstein b8 struts which work great with any spring that lowers more than 30mm as they are shorter than the stock b6 billes
ronzo_the_great
so if i read everything right the only jdm pinks that can be used on a 4th gen are ones from a jdm legacy? is there anything else needed to be done to run these? I dont know much about suspension stuff so any help on this matter would be awesome. thanks!
