Mine isn't lifted, but I'm working on a lift kit for it now (I'm making the lift kit and plan to sell them after I work out all the kinks).

Either way, here are a few picture. I enjoy the trails

Nice! Why not go bigger than 16" wheels? It would look a lot better since you are lifted.

But I'm one to talk. I still have the 14" stockers on my leggy. And the bigger the wheel, the more money for new tires. I have 16" WRX rims waiting in the wings. But I figured I might as well use up the tread on my stockers first. :)

broknindarkagain --bunch of nice lift kits out there. cool that your making your own. lots of work. i found kits from 1" to 3" lift. i choose the 1" lift because of the price and fewer issues with suspension and steering.

monkeyposeur --i found a nice set of 16" rims for $80.00 that's the best price i've seen. (used) And though it's been lifted the wheel wells don't have enough room for 17's. but 16" and tires will give me about 1" more clearance. for a total of 3.5" lift over factory.

Do you mind posting links to what you have found? I've seen a few here and there...but nothing really worth it. I'm looking to go 4 - 6 inches by the time Im done with everything.

I am trying to do the same thing to my 97 OB. Love to see others in on the idea too. Thanks for the links, I didn't know where to start.

Can anyone recommend a nice exhaust system that will give me a nice low Subaru purr and NOT sound like a lawn mower? I HAVE to keep the cat

nice!

Have been debating if I want to go LOW or HIGH with my '99 Outback .. but I'm thinking HIGH right now. I'll probably throw on a set of Yokohama Geolander A/T-S's when its time in stock size and do a small lift.

Hi That Guy 2-1 -–my decision was part economic and part practical/fun. I live in the Rockies, rocks in the road, snow, and lots of off road driving. Having decent clearance under the car is a good thing. I’ve also had the exhaust piped tucked up as far as it will go. The lowest thing under the car is the body. 9” of clearance at the rear differential. And the other reason, money I don’t have a ton of cash to sink into this car. The Outback struts-towers I got from a junk yard, the 15” rims I have now came from Craigslist.org, and the 1” Subtle spacers $225.00. The lift so far has been pretty cheap. And the car drives great!

Doesn't really look any higher than my old one - only did Outback struts and 205/75r15 General Grabber AT2's. Maybe my larger tires compensate for your 1" lift?
