el5y
My wife just got deployed for 9 months so I moved back up to northern va to be with family and friends. Unfortunately with a 1 year old and a dog I took the SUV instead of the lgt. I will be back at my house in va beach once a month to check on things, go to appointments for my son, and take care of the house. Should I do anything with my lgt for the month between drives? I was thinking a battery tender at least. Thanks
HAMMER DOWN
When I store my roadster over the winter. I use Sta-Bal http://sta-bil.com.au/ fuel stabilizer. I put fuel stabilizer in the fuel tank, run it for 20-30 miles to treat the whole fuel system. Top off fuel tank. Change oil & filter if your pasted 50% of your OCI. Hook up battery tender & put the car cover on. Mike Mileage:331487 Retired/Sold
Moderators BarManBean Posted April 28, 2012 Moderators Share Posted April 28, 2012 Just give hicksta the keys and he can drive it every couple of weeks...I'm sure he won't break anything Seriously though, Sta-Bil is probably a good idea. I've also heard of parking on pieces of cardboard to prevent flat spots on your tires, but this might be a bit of a wive's tale... el5y
hmm...maybe i can change the oil while i am down there next week. the car will be parked in my garage and i will to off the gas and all too. sucks having to shutter up the house and car but it makes no sense to take the lgt over the suv
HAMMER DOWN
FYI, before starting after it be stored. I check all fluid & check inside the air box for mice & other small critters. Mike Mileage:331487 Retired/Sold
BAC5.2
I'd put the car up on jack stands a little, just to keep weight off the tires.
