monkeyposeur Posted April 26, 2012 Share Posted April 26, 2012 I needed to fill up the SS w/EJ22T today and opened the fuel cover. It said "Use Premium Fuel Only." This is only my second tank since I bought it. So I bit the bullet and filled it with Premium. Spendy! So do I have to always use Premium for the EJ22T or what? sqc151 Posted April 26, 2012 Share Posted April 26, 2012 yes, u have to always use 93 oct. or 91 for cali folks. if your going to do a 250 mile drive straight thru with all highway, drop down to 89 to save a bit of money since ur just cruising at 70ish anyway and not using boost, its just gonna burn up before u get to ur destination. then when i town, fill up with 93 since its more stop and go and boost is used more.
