mr.hicksta
I have the LCD display for my Zeitronix Zt-2 WBO2 mounted in my dash cubby at the moment. While it's nice and stealthy, I know I can take it one step further. The Zt-2 can be disassembled so I'm hoping to ditch the dash clock and mount everything up nice and tidy like. The only issue will be the amount of visible space on plastic insert. I'm going to take it all apart this weekend to see if the surrounding 'tinted' area can be peeled off. If so I should be able to clear out enough to have sufficient space for all for data points to be displayed. I'm going for a look similar to the top picture. The second picture gives you an idea of how much it can be broken down. So the point of this thread is to try and find out if anyone has done anything similar. If so, please share your experiences http://www.zeitronix.com/customers/stealth_install_dash.jpg http://www.zeitronix.com/customers/stealth_install_side.jpg
BigTDogg MA
So wait, the top pic is how it currently is? Or what you're trying to do? It looks photoshopped.
mr.hicksta
Yeah I'm trying to do something like that and before I even read your post I was like, 'That picture looks fake!' I'm going to take everything apart over the next couple days to see what I can do.

mr.hicksta
Alright this is going to require a bit more work then I thought. One issue (that may be a show stopper) is the view area for the clock is only clear in that one are. The rest of the plastic is fogged, which will prevent the entire Zt-2 from being displayed. So unless I can find a piece of plastic that's a similar build with a larger viewing angle, the Zt-2 is going back in the cubby.
