subiebeast22
in was reading this forum http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/faq-subaru-legacy-2-5i-115322.html. and it says how the brakes (calliper, rotor etc) are not a direct replacement. What i was wondering was what needs to be done. The bolt patterns are the same correct? so is it a matter of just buying bigger rotors and new calipers. I was looking at a upgrading to a stop tech brake kit http://www.importimageracing.com/stoptech-slotted-rotors-f-r-for-05-legacy-gt.html. All i have to do is but new rotors and callipers correct? i have an 06 2.5i with the stock 17" rim.
N.sane
If you want to use those StopTech rotors made for the LGT, you will need: - LGT calipers - LGT caliper brackets (usually attached to the calipers) - LGT brake lines (also usually attached) - LGT specific brake pads If you hear grinding or scraping after the installation, it's most likely the dust shield scraping against the rotor(s) since the rotors are larger, especially the fronts. Use some pliers to bend the dust shields back.
