Dawkness
I've noticed lately that shifting in my 5spd has gotten a lil notchy, clunky even. So I slid underneath the car to have a look and this is what I find. http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e30/Street_Sleepa/921c3c59.jpghttp://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e30/Street_Sleepa/97c1e5c0.jpg Looks like fresh diff fluid where the shift linkage meets the tranny. It's a slow leak but noticeable enough when shifting and I'd like to tackle the issue ASAP. Problem is, I have no idea how it's leaking from that area. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks a ton in advance! GEE-OTTO
Looks like the shifter fork rod seal is throwing fluid out. There are two ways to fix this: 1. Remove the tail shaft cover of your gearbox and replace the seal for the shifter fork rod 2. Keep your fluid topped off

I had to, to replace a $26 bearing that was walking
