SATSFYD
Has anyone just reused the stock exhaust gaskets and have a high pitched hissing sound when you spool the turbo? Side note: used gaskets used: the exhaust manifold to block, manifold to up-pipe, manifold to manifold carry over pipe, and turbo to down pipe. New gasket: up-pipe to turbo. Thoughts? **There are two types of people in the world, those who build horsepower and those who buy it. Which one are you?
FJuan
Yes I did once. That's why it's good to use new gasket each time, because the old ones have been crushed allowing for air leaks. My wife's balls are delicious.
WhiskeyTango
What gasket specifically? Some yes some no.
SATSFYD
Yea I was thinking that but... I did it before and did not see and carbon leaks when I took them off. **There are two types of people in the world, those who build horsepower and those who buy it. Which one are you? snowboardr424
Replacing the gaskets is the best practice. It's the more expensive option, but will yield the best results.
subawang
Did you only take those exhaust pieces off and reinstall, or did you actually change something?
LosAngelesLGT
Its bad practice to reuse any of those gaskets. Leaks at any of those places will effect how your car runs. Want to reuse exhaust gaskets? Reuse catback gaskets. Just an opinion and you know what opinions are full of.

GTTuner
If I have to reuse one I clean it, and spray on a heavy coat of UltraCopper high tack sealant, on both sides. On very thick coat, let it dry completly. I have had good results with the ultra copper stuff.
shadowsports
Replace. Not worth the headache. One leak and you've wasted an entire afternoon.
