Buzzman
I was picking up my friend when I put my car in park, and then it randomly dropped in rpms and shut off. The car started right back up with a little roughness and everything was seemingly alright. However, the next day I started my car two times and a wierd sort of belt noise appeared then vanished shorty afterward. That was on Monday and now my car appears to be fine, but I'm still concerned about a potential problem. Any ideas?

NickTej22
Under the good there is a fusible link, they are designed to melt to pendents' electrical fire. But when they melt in half they can still touch together allowing your car to start. Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk
NickTej22
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b141/PandaImpreza/fusiblelink.jpg This should be a solid wire, but can melt in half. My car did this and the two halves still touched so the car would start and shut off at random Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk

Buzzman
Don't have time to check everything and to be honest, I don't know much under the hood. Would the alternator belt keep making noise bmx? Btw bmx I feel like you're always helping me haha, appreciate it
bmx045
when the engine is cold, the belts are tight, once the engine warms, they loosen. loose belts = low alt output = stalling car. tight belts = alt working, running car. belt noises = corroborating my reasoning. NickTej22
They would have to be really loose enough to where your draining your battery so when the car shuts off got the day or whatever, it won't have enough juice to turn the alternator. Max Capacity
I seem to recall paintpollz had a same type issue a few weeks back. I think he said his was a loose cable. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
