2005 LGT Wagon 5eat Build

Recommended Posts

Well I couldn't help myself I have to start modifying the car. I started buying parts for the car and now I can't stop.

I'm on the list for the Hexmods VB not going to install other parts until I do VB mod. This is what I've got to get started:

STI catless up pipe

CNT catless DP

Process West TMIC

Once I install VB the rest of these parts are going on. Bought a VagCom cable and downloaded RomRaider and ECU flash I've been reading forum and playing around learning to use logger. I'll be getting an Infamous tune when its time to install parts. Not sure how far Im going to take the car it's my daily driver, probably gonna go too far with it but thats ok.:spin:

Much faster starts from a stand still, the rpm's move quicker getting you into boost a little sooner. It got rid of the sluggish feeling trying to gun it from a dead stop. I bought the Cobb pulley and am very happy. I hear it makes a much bigger difference for us running with the 5eat, those with 5/6 speed manuals don't report as much of a difference.

An ATF temp gauge is also a good idea on any upgraded automatic.

Does anyone have a write up on the transmission temp gauge?

Just a regular temp gauge really. You can tap it in before the rubber lines go into the cooler.

That's actually probably the easiest way I've heard it. The atf should be about the same as in the pan correct?

The temp you see pumping into the cooler should be the hottest fluid in the trans, so this will give you a worst case scenario on the gauge. The pan IIRC is where the fluid goes after coming out of the cooler.
