severedevil Posted February 18, 2012 Share Posted February 18, 2012 Does a sohc or dohc get better gas mileage? And what year motors are compatible with the tranny of a 97 legacy gt 2.5 motor? I'm thinking of pulling a motor from a junkyard of a car with a totaled body. And rebuild it. If a wrx or sti would work and I could find one I would totally spend the extra time and money to put it in. If not then I want a whichever gets better gas mileage.
