thefishingone Posted January 20, 2012 Share Posted January 20, 2012 I have a 2011 3.6R and had a strange experience yesterday. I was driving and approaching a red light. It was on a downhill and I was coasting towards the light. My car was naturally downshifting as it slowed and then I felt a strange "thud" or shudder when it downshifted. Then let the dealer know. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. If the car was getting multiple signals telling it to do different things, rough shifts can happen. If your fluid looks clean and the car is otherwise fine then I wouldnt worry about it.
