Zac88
Looked around on the turbo inlet but couldnt find it. Search only brought up locations for older legacys. Where exactly is it?
bmx045
its in the maf sensor, unscrew it with 2 phillipshead screws and you'll see the gum-drop looking sensor in there.
Zac88
ahh ok. I cleaned my MAF and wanted to clean my IAT too but I guess its all the same then, thanks!
bmx045
the maf heated airflow sensors are inside the maf tube in the sensor, the item you likely saw with your eyes is the iat.

Max Capacity
So wasn't mine before I cleaned it, car ran much better when it was cold after the good cleaning. If you get CEL's after starting the car just clear them and you should be fine. I got one CEL for the MAF and one for the IAT. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
