Today I spent the day with a friend working on my car and washing/waxing his. I have decided not to put on the side skirts I got, they will be up for sale soon. I did install the JDM power mode button.

I did. It's basically the same thing as tow mode on a truck. It makes the trans upshift later, downshift sooner, and unlock the torque converter with less throttle. It was actually really nice where I live in a really hilly area. The stupid thing would sit there and lug up hills in 4th, and take excessive throttle to get it to shift down to 3rd.

Earlier in the thread, you said you made your own custom grill. Any tips on how you did that? Did you use the grill your car came from the factory with or something else? I'd like to do something similar, and any tips would be appreciated!

It is just a stock grill that was cut apart then had mesh added to it.

Well, it never ends. After speaking with a friend who got a TIC Brake Master Cylinder Brace I got Grimmspeed Brake Master Cylinder Braces for both this car and my 3.0r. That one should be here Monday. I may install this tomorrow, but I am going to a few pick and pull yards with some friends so I will see if I have any time to do this after.

Well, I installed the brace. It makes a nice difference. Braking is much more linear and instant when the pedal is pushed. I do think my brake master cylinder is getting tired after 173k miles. I may replace that soon. I also put in some Chevron Techron fuel system cleaner before filling up this weekend. The car runs so much better now. It was recommended to me that after using that to drive the car for about an hour to work it through the system. That is exactly what I did.

Recently my wagon has been suffering from a spongy brake pedal. The master cylinder was replaced along with the front hoses. It helped a bit, but not as much as I would like. The right front rotor had an odd contact pattern where outer 1/8 of inch was not being contacted. The wrx brakes I had put on the car have an unknown amount of mileage. I decided to order new rear hoses along with calipers, Stop Tech pads, and Brembo rotors for all four corners. The new calipers got a coat of red paint for the extra horsepower.
