AFig36
I installed a new site of Hakkapeliitta R's my '11 Legacy 3.6 a few weeks ago. As part of the installation, they were balanced, but almost immediately I felt vibrations in the steering wheel that I didn't feel with the all-season Turanzas on there. Anyone know of this is "normal." Granted, it's a winter tire so all things equal, you're going to get more road noise, but the Hakka R is supposed to deliver a very smooth ride (so they say, better gas mileage than an all season). The place that installed it didn't use a Road Force Balancer, so I'm going to take it to a place that does next week. Was just curious if anyone else had experienced a similar issue. jav2.5
Maybe one of your weights fell off, go get them balanced again.
outahere
Did you get new wheels also? One of them may be out of round. Or you just got a poor balance job. Or you need a road force balance. Or a tire may be defective.
ehsnils
Also check that you didn't get any dirt between wheel and mounting surface and that you used the "star" pattern when mounting the tires.
katalyst
probably just needs to be rebalanced again. a friend of mine had the same issue, but after rebalancing they are fine.
