joeblow
Any background info on what this does in comparison to a "standard" intake filter? It's cool; I'm with the band
quick4dr
its a water shield in case of deep puddle splash the filter stays bone dry and the shield wicks away the moisture. my fujita intake sits deep into the fender, looking for a bit of protection. joeblow
I guess I don't see how something can be waterproof and breathable at the same time. I would be interested to see some MAF graphs showing a comparison of the airflows between a conventional filter and one of the water resistant ones. Berzerklo
That looks like it would only help if the air intake got splashed. I don't think it would do you any good if the intake got fully submerged - you would need something like the AEM CAI Bypass Valve though I don't know if you could make the AEM piece work on your fujita. I lost a honda motor years ago to a deep puddle and a CAI... it sucks.
lordchilly
I just use one of those prefilters for my intake.

It may not be a option, but put the stock one back in. It's hard to beat. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).
