EMTry53 Posted November 14, 2011 Share Posted November 14, 2011 hey guys, im always one to start and search before posting and hoping/waiting for someone to reply to me so i've already done part of that, the only reason why i think i can't find an answer is because im kind of lacking in technical knowledge of automobiles. basically my question is when i start up my 2009 legacy 2.5i automatic trans, the engine seems to like the title says, gurgle or sound like its gonna conk out but as soon as i tap the gas peddle and rev up the RPMs just a bit it settles down, havnt really noticed it at any other time once its been started, it seems to be on ignition...if anyone can tell me what thats called or what the issue might be, i can search more on here for the actual resolution...if there is one thanks in advance, -Ry Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

From what I have found here and on other Suby sites, its normal for the PZEV engines, assuming that is what you have. Google "noisy pzev" and you can read all about it.
