Nanci E.
I was just driving along, happy as can be, when bam.....nothing. I was able to coast to the side, where I waited for AAA. I have interior lights, all my idiot lights come on, and the car turns over but won't catch. My husband and I do not know anything about working on cars, but we would like to learn: 1. out of necessity (we are beyond broke LOL), and 2. we want to have this car for a while. Can anybody give me a place to start looking for what may be wrong? I found a '92 Subaru Legacy service manual online and have been looking at it, but it still gives me so many options of where to begin. I believe we ruled out a fuel problem because we used starter fluid in the air intake and we weren't able to get it started. So, we were then thinking it is a spark issue, but then last night my husband went off on a tangent about the ECU. Any thoughts and ideas would be appreciated!! Thank you! Legacy Wagon
The timing belt is probably a good place to start.
