travgag Posted October 28, 2011 Share Posted October 28, 2011 Hey, so im chaning my tranmission in a 97 legacy outback, auto 2.5 liter, and I cant get the torque converter to sit flush so I can bolt it to the flex plate, the transmission is out of a 96 2.5, now half of the steam on the torque converter is in the tranny, ive been trying for over and hour, pulling it out spinning it and pushing, the trans mission i took out i have no problem getting it to sit correctly, im stuck thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

travgag Posted October 29, 2011 Author Share Posted October 29, 2011 So i took a metal pin out, c shaped that was loose inside figure that goes on the end of the oil shaft, now i still cant get the TC to snap in, its been three hours, my knees are aching, and arms all scratched up, because the tranny is half in, I though i was home free !
