Subieaction
I just noticed after my clutch started going is that when I am parked and turn my steering wheel to get out of parking spaces there is a extremely heavy vibrations. I popped the hood and started turning the wheel and can some vibrations coming from a line from the steering wheel to the engine. I have never heard of anything like this, I could really use some help. Thanks chris
frank_ster
well first thought would be low power steering fluid causing cavatation of the pump that would describe some of that Now that's thinking out of the boxer! fyi all 05 + legacy's have built in code reader

Subieaction
So I checked my levels and they are fine. I asked my friend and he said it could be a timing belt issue. But how do you check the timing belt for wear and tear??
Max Capacity
So I checked my levels and they are fine. I asked my friend and he said it could be a timing belt issue. But how do you check the timing belt for wear and tear?? That's a new one on me... timing belt cause a steering issue....? May be he meant the drive belt for the PS pump. It may be time to take it to a repair shop and have them check it out and replace what is going bad. Remember this is your steering were talking about. AZP Installs
There are only a few lines for the whole power steering system that you can see without going under the car. There are the 2 lines coming up from the passenger side that go into the pump and reservoir. Then there is the steering column coming from the wheel itself to the rack on the driver side. You said that your levels are fine on fluids so I will rule out being low etc. As Max said the drive belt for the power steering pump might be loose or bad. The belt should not show signs of cracks, or missing ribs. If it does replace it. There should be no reason your timing belt would cause issue with your steering. -Jake http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://upload.pbase.com/image/137566671.jpg Call directly for your best Whiteline Price! | We also carry almost every manufacturer now, so before you buy parts call us.
