NormanAbsher
So for the past few weeks I've noticed a clunking in my clutch petals, its nothing that can be heard but I can feel it.. its weird cause I can only feel it up to about 1500 rpms when I start to move.. any idea? I don't seem to have a slip in my clutch at all..

ktmrider
Still got the original dual-mass flywheel? If so may be separating. Also lots of throw out bearing failures running around. At STG2 failure would not be surprising if on stock stuff.
phattydrummer
I say throw out bearing. We see lots of those go bad. And when they go bad, they go fast. The problem is that the core is plastic and with the heat, it melts. If it were me, I would look into it before it leaves you stranded...
FJuan
How many miles do you have on your current clutch? I've replaced 2 throwout bears now, and they both only lasted about 40k miles. My wife's balls are delicious.

FJuan
If you haven't change the clutch or TOB yet, this might be a great time to pull the tranny off and inspect the parts. If you know how to pull the tranny, this will save you $$$$. There's a few walkthroughs on here on how to do it. I was able to do mine over a weekend, given if you have all the needed parts. Ball Park figures New stock clutch kit w/TOB - $300 New stock clutch kit w/TOB & flywheel - $550 If the snout of the TOB is damage, which is notorious on our cars, you'll need to get the Tranquil TSK3 Sleeve Kit - $160 Plus new tranny fluid. Take it to the dealer and it can range between $1,200 - $2,500 My wife's balls are delicious.
NormanAbsher
Damn... Time to trade her in... Maybe I can get it covered on my warranty I pirchased.. lol may need to pull some parts for that tho...
FJuan
If you're mechanically inclined, it's not hard to do, just very time consuming. My wife's balls are delicious.
NormanAbsher
Ya I'm sure you right I just dnt have the time or space and if my warranty will cover it why not just have someone do it
FJuan
I don't believe the ext. warranty will cover the clutch system, as it's a wearable part, such as brake pads. Call and find out first. Good luck. My wife's balls are delicious.
NormanAbsher
Isn't any part a wearable part... Honestly...
FJuan
I totally agree. Just have to read the fine lines from the warranty on what they consider wearable vs. non-wearable coverage. My wife's balls are delicious.
