mrclownprince
Driving a 99 Legacy GT 2.5 So i think my a/c compressor pulley is on the way out. makes noise when engine is warmed up and more noise when compressor engages. But the thing that was troubling me was that the a/c compressor was engaging all the time no matter what the HVAC controls were set at. A/C disabled, fan to 0, hot /cold, floor, defrost, vent. every setting the compressor clutch would still engage every 15 seconds. Any ideas what would cause that? And the compressor was engaged for the same amount of time with a/c on and off , cold and warm engine. The compressor belt pulley sound doesn't sound until the engine has been running for 1 to 2 minutes. And a lot of that red dust everwere. Anyone have any ideas? (hoping not bad ECU lol) Have a check engine light and the black connector method isn't working, will have to get that read somewere.
I Donated broknindarkagain Posted October 14, 2011 I Donated Share Posted October 14, 2011 I highly doubt its the ECU. Sounds like you need to replace your compressor to begin with. As far as the issue of it running all the time, the relay may be stuck. Try replacing the relay -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
