Silverline automotive

What's the deal with this place? They seem to have a lot of subarus for sale and they have a bunch of used parts off subarus. I just ordered an ACT clutch kit from them, plate looks to be in great shape. Has anyone ever bought a car or parts from them before?

You bought a used clutch disc?

That would bother the heck out of me, a used clutch. If the P.O. launched it like crazy, you could shoot a disc spring or snap a PP finger.

Haven't heard anything about that place though. If they have lots of used parts, it might be a good place to pick up spares or back-to-stock stuff.

I was just about to ask! The dealership page didn't seem to have any info.

Some of those prices aren't bad at all!

I actually looked into them when I was shopping for a car about a year ago. I believe they specialize in repairs, so they buy cars with damage, usually having a rebuilt title, and rebuild them, hence the great prices. As for the parts, I think they pull all good parts off of totaled cars.

You guys can look at the subarus on there all you want. But I see a 2009 GTR for 68,500. So pretty.... O.O

If I'm spending almost $70 on a car, I won't be buying a beat, used, 3-year old GTR.

The Spec.B on the silverline automotive page is sold. :( I wonder who has gotten it or rather should I have gotten it.

There's a nice 07 spec underneath it though

Other than the lame wheels that is

Cobb seems to stand by them

Well, yeah but that depends on what they are standing by on. Anyway everyone has different opinions and different views. Personally, I don't dare to buy from them because I have extremely bad experiences with salvage vehicles. Maybe Silverline Automotive might change that but just not right now.

There located very close to where I live. I've heard good and bad stuff about them. They buy wrecked cars for cheap and fix them up, sometimes putting cars on the road that shouldn't be.. But I've also heard people getting great deals on used cars and never having a problem with them. It seems to be hit or miss with silverline. Buying parts from them seems to be pretty safe though.
