tmillard
Hi everyone... I own a 2007 5mt Legacy and just bought an AT 07 Outback. I have a couple of quick questions about the cars 1. On both my Outback and the Legacy I am finding the idle to be pretty low, almost at the edge of stalling. They both seem to hover around 500rpm or so. Is this too low? I feel like the Legacy dropped with the reloading of the tune recall earlier this year. Based on my research the Outback was updated too. Anyone else seen this issue? 2. The out back is a goldish color. The paint job is really odd and almost looks like a cheap repaint or something. I had it checked out before buying it and the guy who checked it out made no mention of the off paint. It just looks sorta spotty under different light. Anyone else have a gold outback, and if so any issue with how the pain appears? Thank you.
frank_ster
try idle relearn cold car .. disconnect battery , for 2 min reconnect start car with ac on low setting for the automatic car block wheels hand brake and put in drive and let it warm up from cold to warm ie horizontal needle. in both cases let the car warm up completely on its own. Now that's thinking out of the boxer! fyi all 05 + legacy's have built in code reader
tmillard
I was thinking of doing this earlier today. For the auto is the putting it in drive part imperative? or can I just let it idle in park? Or dive it after the disconnect? Thank you.
frank_ster
not imperative .. try it in park .. if not try again in drive .. Now that's thinking out of the boxer! fyi all 05 + legacy's have built in code reader
