franklin Posted June 15, 2005 Share Posted June 15, 2005 Just looked at the Pontiac site. They have the info and options etc. From the looks of it they are only going to offer a 5 speed manual! Could this be right? Personally I prefer a stick but realize that most dont want a manual. If this is the case I think they will regret that call. Likely 85% will want the auto. These 2 seater roadsters will be powered by the LS2 V8 engine that is currently used in the C6 Corvettes. 400 HP!!!!!! Looks like the LGT would be in the dust. I did some reading and there will be a high performance and an automatic coming out spring 06.. Designed by an englishman for Vauxhall (GM in Britain) it is one of the most striking GM designs to date. IMHO, better looking than the Corvette. An LS2 version would be overkill. But it would be fun, too. Just try to keep rear tires on that thing... I don't really like saturns currently, but I like the Saturn Sky's looks better than the new 06 Miata. And that is saying something from someone who already owns a miata, and really enjoys it. I'd buy one, but I would have to de-badge it immediately.
