My HID's come stock with D2S bulbs at 35W.

Their Low Beam is pretty ok, but the High Beams always make me shudder....they just add nothing.

I want an upgrade that stays as near to stock as possible (both for optics and work on the lamps), so I suppose the best is to send TheRetrofitSource a mail+fotos in order to see what components I do need in my case.

I checked their website and got lost on the 100+ models/projectors/kits they have...

Thanks a lot already for Your help and pointing me in the right direction !

BAC5.2: not all Euro-models come with HID's, the base/entry models are without. But You are right, for a mid-class sedan/wagon like this they should come stock. The competition offers AFL/ curve lights/ DRL's etc., and this goes not only for the premium manufacturers like BMW/ Mercedes/ Audi etc. but also Ford/ Opel/ Honda. OK, the latter do not have the sophisticated AWD plus they lack LPG-Versions, but still...

I meant as an option, not as standard.

E-mail TheRetrofitSource, they'll help you out with what you need.

So I decided to get the 35w slim ballasts hid kit from ddm tuning. Do I need to get the hid harness or error eliminator? I wanna know because I still want to retain the daytime running lights feature and I still want the headlights to function normally without any kinks or problems. And I don't need to get the adptor cables do I?

Missing some key info. What year is your car? You can't have DRLs with HIDS in 2005-2006 (maybe 2007 also, unsure) because they use the low-beam. DRLs are lame anyway, just delete them.

I have my fogs modded so I can run them with my parking lights for daytime situations where I'd usually have DRLs on.

My Diode Dynamics kit went in super easy, just need to remove the retaining clip on the connector to the ballast from the bulb harness to fit through the 1" hole in the lamp covers. Slide it through and reinstall clip, all good. 4100K-4300K is the ideal color temp, because it provides the most light output. Never mind that it doesn't look ricey or annoying to other drivers.

You didn't put HID's in your fog lights, did you?

Yes. HID's are terrible for fog use.

Fog lights aren't driving lights.
