Moderators BarManBean Posted September 14, 2011 Moderators Share Posted September 14, 2011 I previously owned an '09...leather was very nice. Sat in an '05 limited the other day and didn't find the leather to be nearly as nice...can anyone comment as to weather the leather has changed over the years or not, or was this just a fluke? Moderators BarManBean Posted September 15, 2011 Author Moderators Share Posted September 15, 2011 Sure, i understand that. It felt like a completely different type of leather though...I'm just wondering as I'm about to buy an '05. Wont really sway my decision either way as I want a wagon and my only choice is '05, I'm just curious. JohnnyT
I agree. I have an '06 LGT and my son have an '08 LGT. His leather is softer than mine even though both have been carefully taken care of. The grain is different also. Leather can change from lot to lot. Maybe they used different suppliers from one year to the next, etc.
RabidWombat
I believe the seat design changed slightly in 08-09, a bit softer leather with slightly more bolstering. I found the newer seats significantly better.
zmarko
Were they different colors? In my opinion, the 05 Black leather is softer than the 05 tan leather.
ssbtech
I think the leather did change over the years. So did the padding and the range of adjustment on the power seats. I find the 08 seats much more comfortable than my 05 seats. Too bad I can't do a swap.
