EgR2SkI
Ok so I have 60k on my 08 Legacy GT limited with auto. I live in the mountains and have a hell of a drive to and from work. There are over 200 curves/turns and over 6K in elevation change each way in about 16 miles. In particular the last mile to my office is over 1200 ft in elevation in right at a mile. I manage a 2300 acre mountain resort and have over 33 miles of road to inspect ranging from about 5% grade to some that are about 18% grade. We even have a couple driveways pushing 20+%. Seriously they are even hard to walk up/down. Point is I go through pads usually 2-3 times a year as well as 2 sets of tires. I have just recently started cooking my brake fluid on my drives home letting me know that it's time to change as it is most likely the stock fluid. (bought car with 32k on it). Anyway to the point I found KNS brakes on these forums and pm'd him and he replied with the best prices I could find anywhere and luckily he was in the same state. I just ordered a full new setup from him on friday and they arrived today. Here is what I got: DBA 4000 Series Slotted Front Rotors DBA Standard Series Slotted Rear Rotors Hawk HPS Pads Front & Rear ATE Super Blue Race Fluid I am putting everything on tomorrow after work in the shop at work. It is fully equipped for anything I could run in to and has a lift and air. I've done a couple pad changes already and have done full brake jobs on pretty much every over car I have owned. I will take pics and post reviews of what I think. Will finally be able to show off my new wheels and tires too. I am running Black Drag DR-44's and just got a set of Nitto Neogen's. I had a set of Continental Extreme Contact DWS and ran through them in about 11K Fantastic in the snow though. So far happy with the Nitto's especially dry performance. BTW totally recommend KNS brakes. Prices, service, shipping all top notch!! Give Ken and Joe a call.
EgR2SkI
Ok so got the brakes installed, fluid changed, and I went ahead and painted the calipers while I had everything apart. Took me about 4 hours start to finish but mainly because I kept getting interrupted. I was able to bed them in and had a rather spirited ride home. So far I am majorly impressed compared to stock. The pedal feel didn't really change but the initial bite and Longevity are vastly improved. I never came close to boiling the ATE super blue and the Hawks are quiet and strong. Couldnt really specifically tell a difference with the rotors other than the cars feels strangely more planted. Possibly due to the additional weight on the front end from the massive rotors. Gotta say they look impressive too. Well just thought I would share. I dont post much on here but have gotten a ton of useful knowledge from everyone on here. Will try to be more active in the future. As promised here are the pics. If you have any questions let me know. sjwelna
I'll give my +1 here to Ken at KNSBrakes.com I met him a long time ago when I was living in Raleigh through Eric at TurboTime. Good guy, good prices, good parts. Definitely give him a call if you need brakes! -Steve

AZP Installs
I've been friends with ken for over 10 years. He used to race with us up here in NJ in the day. We carry their stuff and have comparable prices as KNS. Best part is they like us use their own products. Unlike most other vendors on these forums who merely drop ship products from some unknown warehouse to you and could care less what they are selling as long as there is a markup on it for them. If you burn up these brakes, I would suggest going to higher temp pads, if that fails you may need to upgrade to a larger rotor to act as more of a heat sink.
