Lack of oil = problems HELP

Recommended Posts

like we said- the turbo blew and the bearing shavings from the turbo gets drained back into the oil pan with the oil, that oil and shavings then get circulated around the engine taking almost every other lubricated bearing with it. If the banjo bolt filter is clogged the scenario you presented will take place, to the T. If ANY 05+ legacy engine with a turbo blows because of bearing damage, the bearing material will drain with the outflowing oil into the oil pan, from there, it gets circulated around the engine, I.E. main bearings(spun) and the cams (scoredjournals)

Pretty similar story as mine. Got a car for mom from a dealer. It shook at idle, took it to mechanic and heads were so worn out that you could move cams back and forth.

Got used heads from this site, bolted them on. Week later rod knock. Took to different mechanic, who actually specializes in subarus....

Anyone buying scrap aluminum? I have a block and heads for sale!
