SSpeed
If so, any change I could take a look underhood for a new project I'm up to? I'll buy Sonic...
Richard T
I've got a friend I could contact, but you'd likely have better luck on AWDPirates.net. Just throwing it out there. I'll see if my buddy is interested in the short term.

fahr_side
I don't live in CO (fahr, fahr away) but I'm curious to know what you're up to, own an '08 WRX and have tape measures / calipers... LGT For ME
SSpeed, Eric w/ torqued performance has a 08-09 wrx that I'm sure you could check out. Its currently out of commission as his big turbo build spun a bearing or something like that so its in rebuild mode.
SSpeed
^^ Nothing all that exciting really.... I'm going with a ProcessWest intercooler, so I'm ditching my engine cover... For aesthetics, and possibly a conspiracy theory of my own that it does a little for underhood aerodynamics, I'm wanting to go with the '08 WRX belt cover... I've acquired the cover #3, but need to know what brackets I also need... the only halfway good pictures I've gotten are from subarupartsstore.net http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k62/dil222/subaru-impreza-wrx-engine-bay-634x424.jpg #4 surely is needed, wondering where it bolts up to though... and then how the left side of #3 is secured, is it a bolt on an existing bracket? Really just want to sit the two side by side and compare, but I'd take you up on pics and measurements fahr_side! http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k62/dil222/bracket.jpg Thanks LGT for Me, maybe I'll give him a call on it and see if I can just peek... fahr_side
OK, no problem. The passenger side of the cover is fixed with an M6 bolt into a bracket which is bolted to the power steering pump. The driver side has a plastic molded spike with pushes into a rubber grommet on another bracket, which is in your diagram is #4. This in turn is fixed by the alternator pivot bolt. The photos should make it pretty clear what you need. I was going to give you link to the drawings on opposedforces.com but they seem to be down... SSpeed
^^ Thank you much! Now I just need to find the part numbers on the two brackets... The driver side bracket is #4 and I can order it without part #, need to find the passenger side one though... Your pictures help greatly, thanks! fahr_side
23791AA002 is the bracket on the alternator and 34446AG020 is the bracket off the PS pump. Opposedforces is back up. SSpeed
Just a follow-up to this... in anticipation of my nifty ProcessWest intercooler getting here, I installed the WRX belt cover today (my first aesthetic mod) since I'm not driving the car anyway. Fits beautifully, just need the alternator side bracket, WRX cover, and a really long M5 bolt to make it work. Looks much cleaner than the big engine cover... SCASEYS
already have #4 do I just need #3 to make it work? I donated to LegacyGT.com which allows me to have this nifty signature. If anything SCASEYS posts ever becomes a sticky i'm gonna light this whole place on fire
fahr_side
Just check on the existing bracket if there's a hole and captive nut right above the PS pump pulley. If it's there the other two parts should PnP. Sent from a device using some software.
