MasAyinde
Let me start off by saying that having driven a few STis, I love the feel of the shifter. Is this feel the same as the 5mt STi shifter for the Legacy? And to those who have it, is it really worth the extra $150 over the Cobb or KB shifters? W1CKED
No. The STi STS DOES give you shorter throws...but the actual shifter itself is NOT shorter. If yer looking for an actual SHORTER shifter, go with something other than STi.
W1CKED
I have the STi STS, and I'm actually having it shortened by GTTuner.
MasAyinde
I'm not concerned about the height of the shifter, I just want less travel between gears.
MasAyinde
Is that No as in "it's not worth it"? And how does it feel compared to the stock STi shifter?
W1CKED
When I said "No" I thought you were talking about the actual height. The STi STS shortens the throws by 30% or something like that...don't quote my on that...but I remember reading that somewhere. The shifts feel crisper...IMHO...but for ME, I didn't do enough research prior to purchase, and didn't get what I wanted out of it.
Nrw
I like my STI sts. I like the shorter shifts while it's still stock (or very close) height.
