LatentWagen
This thread is a good read; more of us need to prioritize anti-heat-soak measures. These mods pay for themselves, preventing direct wear to sensors, hoses, CV boots, etc... not to mention the deleterious effects of heat-soak on your engine's internals. Anything you can do to reduce underhood temps will be worth it, IMO. Here's my current setup. http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=195573&stc=1&d=1414766249 I'm Using both the turbo hotside & downpipe blankets. DP is a 2/3rds blanket that leaves the lower section open. Theoretically, this allows more heat to dissipate under the car. http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=195572&stc=1&d=1414766245 We're running this DEI'd Cobb HS on my girlfriend's Saabaru. It seems to work pretty well, but not quite as completely as the blankets. http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=195574&stc=1&d=1414766249 I'm thinking about picking up a similar heat shield for the Legacy, to add over the blanket. However, whatever I do at this point will have diminishing returns. LW's spec. B / YT / IG

Rhitter
I have my downpipe cermaic coated and wrapped with a clamp on heatshield to protect my CV boot. I also have my turbo in a blanket with the reflect-a-gold tape on the heatshield. I have no way to measure if it makes in difference. http://i.imgur.com/HaKIXq7.jpg My OBXT build
SSpeed
I have almost that exact same CV boot shield, except mine is an old license plate.
