Drivers side axle

Make sure the axle is level, jack up the lower ball joint to get the axle as level as possible, take a 2x4 and a 5 or 10lb sledge hammer and hit the end of the axle driving it into the tranny. Not like your splitting wood just a nice hit.

I also found that if I wrapped my left hand around the big green hunk of metal and then hit my left hand with my right toward the tranny. I found that worked the other day after the car was on jack stands for 4 weeks slowly dripping oil out of the tranny seal. It was just a little hit with my hands and it popped in.

I've done more then a few axles over the past 8 years, they all seem to respond to different hit's.

Good luck

The 10lb sledge was told to me by Frank of the Drive Shaft Shop.
