Southern Scooby
Hello, I noticed today that when I tried to throw my stuff in the back, the wagon door would not open. It feels like the handle has been detached from the cable that opens the door. Has this happened to anyone and if so how did you resolve the problem? Is there a quick fix or do I have to take it to Subaru? Thanks, SS
Max Capacity
go in from the back seat. you'll see a small panel on the bottom center of the rear hatch, pop that off, look for the lever on the drivers side, push it down. then you should be able to open the hatch. The replacement part is about $62.00 at the dealer. I'll try and fine my thread with the part number from back in May of this year. I just on screwed the white plastic piece from the new one on installed it on the mechanism in the hatch. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/rear-hatch-release-wagon-163632.html 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs.
