executor485 Posted July 20, 2011 Share Posted July 20, 2011 I think the problem is more in the fact you switched oils. Before switching to an oil like Royal Purple, you need to fully flush the engine. Easiest way to perform this is to drain all fluids from the engine, put a water hose in the oil filling area (still leave the engine oil plug out as well, this is how it flushes the fluid), turn the water on, then turn the engine on. Run it for ~2 minutes to fully clean out the engine. Then put the drain plug back in, pour in the new oil, and you're golden. If I pass you on the right, I'm flipping you off.
