Where is the shop who did the mod for you located? I am looking to get this done in a few weeks and am even considering a 12 hour drive to Pittsburgh (LTColombo's shop)while en route to Ohio. (Hopefully your guy is closer)

heres the deal w/ the kit

it's a "beta test kit" meaning not quite a prototype , not a production kit , very few out there . it is 05-07 5eat specific . they will not be avail to general public & only a few select shops will be able to purchase them .

w/ just over 500mi on mine , i have no complaints & am a happy camper w/ they way it works . "d" is perfect w/ clean & crisp shifts , sport mode (where it normally lives) is the best it has ever been , manual mode is still "shifting" quicker as previously described . my trans dude is going to put one in his lgt as well .

thats all i have for now , more info to come

qawd i'm glad i stayed away from ipt

I'm not quite sure whether ClimberD is calling his HexOne Mods F1 kit the same thing as a TransGo kit.

Either, way, I'm under the impression that we are talking about the same things.

I've just put 125 miles on my new VB with my new built motor yesterday. Like CD said, it took 103 miles for the TCU to start learning how to shift. Prior to that it was extremely harsh!

It still needs to learn how to downshift from 5th to 4th whether trying to accelerate to pass or to decelerate. It's still very harsh. The rest of the shifts at partial throttle are great for upshifts, deceleration down shifts are still very noticeable but not harsh.

TCU is learning very quickly.
