soloz2
Took a pic of my exhaust header today.  Anyone know where that oil could be coming from? scottyjneilson
Pulled it off when I did my spark plugs the other day. The car seems a bit more responsive. The weird thing is... this second filter has some type of fibers locked within in it... maybe something to clean the air a second time ?????? haha. thestratomaster
The car seems a bit more responsive. Â Thinking that's completely in your head
scottyjneilson
maybe, but who knows right, I also put new plugs in so that could be a factor as well. Car is just running better all around with those two changes...
sschmelcke
my wifes 05 4eat had this also. the car has since been traded it but it was never cleaned. looked like crap after 100k miles
MAx96
I changed my air filter today and noticed this same 2nd filter. It was getting dirty at only 25k and wasn't showing that much light through it. I popped it off, car definitely seems to have more pep on the low end, top end seems the same. Anyone else done this recently? Any long term issues?
burnout8488
Most of the cars shipped from Subaru didn't have this 2nd filter installed - I highly doubt there are any long term issues with not having it!
