Max Capacity
Just wanted to update everyone. I've driven about 800 miles since I had my slotted rotors turned that I took off my 05GT and installed them on the SpecB with new Hawk HPS pads. These pads were recommended by the guy here. The old rotors had imprints of brake pads on the backs of them. So far no shimmy during braking with the new set up. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. m sprank
99.99% of shimmy under braking is pad deposits.
Silinc3r
I have the same issue, stop tech rotors with stop tech pads. Bought the hawk pads as recommended. Need to turn the rotors and install pads. I'll try and come back with how it turned out. Silinc3r's 05 SWP GT/Spec B
