patgman21
Noticed the other day a shuffling type noise while coasting in 4th gear....as soon as I press the gas, no noise....shift gears, its all good...I get that noise and always have had it while in lower gears and lower rpms and I know thats due to the lightweight flywheel which was installed....never had any noise while in 4th until now...any input would b great...thanks in advance
Brosephine
rear diff pinion bearing? get under the car and check for play where the driveshaft meets your diff, push up and down left and right
Max Capacity
^ I'm about to replace the rear dif on my 05 this weekend. See my, "got the news today" thread in this forum. I'd get a noise that sounded like it was coming from the front diff when I lifted off the throttle in any gear. When I coated in neutral the noise was gone. Drain your rear diff fluid and see what it looks like. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
