flipsubie06 Posted May 14, 2011 Share Posted May 14, 2011 i have an 06 lgt and have an spt intake and cobb DP and need to run economy mode on my AP bcuz gas is such a bitch nowadays. so any thoughts if this can be done and will this cause me any problems later on? authenticamd Posted May 15, 2011 Share Posted May 15, 2011 I would say no, because economy mode isn't stage 2. Also, I would switch back to the stock intake if possible. Just stay out of boost when possible. +1 FWIW, you can run the stage 2 base map with the economy realtime map, and you won't brake anything or throw any codes...but the economy map is pretty useless, and borders on dangerous some times. If you're used to your car behaving in one way, and you change it drastically like that, you might not be prepared for a situation where you need to accelerate quickly. The best way to get better gas mileage is to keep your foot out of it. I actually got better gas mileage when going stg2 because it changed my driving habits.
