Rand
On my 1995 Legacy LS Sedan on the back of the rear seats (looking from inside the trunk) there are locks that go left to right... but when I go inside the car there are no switches to actually move the seats down. I looked everywhere.. on the rear deck, on the side of the seat near the inner door area is... checked the manual too. Any other ideas?
subikid90
I have pull straps that come out of the crack at the top of the seats. One time I got the strap stuck and it took a while to get it out and be able to put the seats down again. -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap

1997lgt
My 97 was the same way when I bought it. I took a small, flat screwdriver and slid it into the latch from inside the trunk. It doesnt require prying or any damage, just slide it in and you will feel the latch release. Get a flashlight and try it. It ended up that someone had pushed the little pull straps in between the seat and the headrest.

Rand
Thanks guys. I'm going to take the seats apart and make sure the straps never become hidden again. I was putting my hand everywhere around the seat and couldn't feel any strap
