scooby05lgt
want to do the EZ30 swap on my 2.5GT because i keep blowing motors and i wanna try something different... ive found the motor all i need to figure out is the wiring... is the wiring the same in the 3.0 and the 2.5? (with the obvious exception of the actual motor harness.. could this possibly be as simple as motor swap and ECU? thx for any info yall come up with! GEE-OTTO
Oh boy well the 2.5GT ECU can't run the EZ30R easily. Best bet would be to get teh ECU and harness along with the engine. You will also need to verify the 2.5GT Tach will interpret the 6cyl signal pulse accurately since it is set up for a H4. As far as mechanical compatibility it can work with some effort. Mounts, exhaust, wiring, radiator placement, and accessories. Fueling should be fine as the EZ and the EJ255 have similar sized injectors.

GEE-OTTO
IM guessing that swap didnt happen And if your 255 is blown might as well buy a shortblock and put your heads back on and call it a day.
