SeanC
Hey guys, I noticed that the rubber piece that covers the lip in the rear wheel well is coming off on one side (2005 GT LTD). I can slide the little channel back into place over the fender lip, but it doesn't hold tight and just falls right off. Any idea how these are held on from the factory? Dont want to use some type of adhesive if I dont have to... Thanks for your help!
Windy Road
Take them off. They hold dirt and water and could lead to the fender rusting. Mines been off since I've bought the car almost 2 years ago. 276hp/347tq On a DynoJet Dyno Video - Had a big lean spot as you can tell in the second pull
SeanC
Isn't the whole point of them to prevent exactly that (to prevent dirt and junk building up on that lip)?
Windy Road
Possibly, that and to protect the tire if it the suspension compresses to much. Who knows, plus I think it looked cheap on the car. 276hp/347tq On a DynoJet Dyno Video - Had a big lean spot as you can tell in the second pull

pflo
I eventually took mine off. There is another thread around here about these. Mine were choked with salt and dirt.
