Lookatmyrust
i drove it in to the garage to put new rear brakes in and when i was done i went to start it and i let of the starter too early. it started a little bit and died. and now it will not fire. can these motors flood? how long should i wait. what can i do... can i take out the fuel pump fuse and turn it over to try and get a spark to clear the cylinders? jamesm113
i've heard flooring it and cranking it will shut off fuel flow, not sure if that applies to subarus though
mwiener2
let the car sit for 15-20 min and try again. Sometimes they just get grumpy. Holding the gas pedal all they way to the floor while cranking is how you clear a flood on a fuel injected car.
