clyons
Hey guys, I threw on a stg1 map and finally got a chance to do some logs, it appears I have a fair amount of knocking under boost at load. Can you guys assist me in making the correct changes to reduce/prevent this?romraiderlog_20110107_133400(1_2 pull).csvromraiderlog_20110107_133444_driving.csvromraiderlog_20110107_133254.csvlearningview.csv
clyons
Actually, maybe its not as bad as I thought, pardon if I am incorrect due to lack of experience with this.
Mega Users seabass07 Posted January 9, 2011 Mega Users Share Posted January 9, 2011 While it is not horrible, it's still not good. Almost all of the knock in those logs looked like tip in knock. Some of them were high load, so you should definitely try to fix it. Hopefully someone else will chime in with a bit more advice. At the very least, reduce timing a bit (maybe .7) where the knock occurred and raise tip in enrichment by maybe 5%. Then see if it is still there. I'm more concerned about the fact that it logged multiple knocks there. That is what I have done and it is significantly reduced. Also check your engine and transmission mounts. Mine are worn and the engine bucking I get from acceleration from a stand still causes false knock. It could definitely cause false tip in knock.
