95LegacyLSINM
Newbie with a 95 LSi AT wagon. Getting this back on the road and I've run into a problem. On the heaterAc switch I have the little lights under the buttons but no green illumination for the buttons, slider and fan speed. The same is true for the rear window defroster switch- indicator light works but the button is dark. All other buttons on the combo meter work as does the radio and cd Question is are these two connected? What fuse(s) should I check? Seems funny that they are all out at the same time which is why I suspect a short or loose connection/bad ground. thanks in advance Ed
jamesm113
A very common issue, bulbs burn out. I replaced mine with LEDs from superbrightLEDS.com. My clock backlight was burnt out as well, had to solder in a custom LED to get that working.
Bdubs
Refer to this thread: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/change-heater-control-lights-95-99-legacy-26408.html The bulbs burn out, that's pretty much it. LSi is a great car, and a hard one to find. Had one myself, and I absolutely loved it.
I Donated broknindarkagain Posted January 1, 2011 I Donated Share Posted January 1, 2011 Mine is the same way. I've just been too lazy to dig into it to find out whats wrong. I didn't even know the buttons under the gauges were suppose to light up! lol edit : Subaru replaced my hazard lights button under recall. Before it didn't light up and now it does. So I guess bulbs really is the problem What part number bulb are used in them? -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." jamesm113
These are the LEDs (the NeoWedge 3mm) I used: http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=/instrument.html pretty simple to install, and i don't have to worry about them burning out. Otherwise, if you go to radioshack you can get a pack of 2 bulbs for $1.99 that you can wire in the old bulb socket pretty easily. The bulbs have a long flexible leads so it's very easy to to the wiring. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103780
